Plain-language terms for using HealthAYF. Please read the "Not medical advice" section — it's the most important one for a health platform.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of HealthAYF ("we", "our", or "us") — an independently developed digital health management platform available at healthayf.com and app.healthayf.com. By creating an account or using HealthAYF, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

HealthAYF is built and maintained by an independent developer. While every care is taken to protect your data and keep the service running, this is not a corporate product — please use it as a helpful tool, not a substitute for professional medical records systems.

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using HealthAYF, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old (or have parental consent), have read and understood these Terms, and agree to be bound by them. These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and HealthAYF under the laws of India.

2. Description of service

HealthAYF is a personal health records management platform that helps individuals and families:

  • Store and organise medical records, prescriptions, and lab reports
  • Track vaccination schedules, vitals, and health measurements
  • Log doctor visit history and follow-up appointments
  • Receive email reminders for health appointments and vaccinations
  • Generate and download personal health summaries

The service is currently provided free of charge. We reserve the right to introduce optional paid features in the future with advance notice.

3. HealthAYF is not a medical advice platform

This is the most important section. Please read it carefully.

HealthAYF is a personal health records management tool — not a medical service, diagnostic tool, or substitute for professional healthcare.

  • Nothing in HealthAYF constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment
  • Vaccination schedules shown are for tracking purposes only — always follow the advice of your qualified healthcare provider
  • Health status indicators (e.g. "Normal" / "High" for BP or blood sugar) are informational guides only and are not medical assessments
  • Always consult a qualified doctor or healthcare professional for medical decisions

In a medical emergency, call 112 (India) or contact your nearest hospital immediately. Do not rely on HealthAYF in an emergency.

4. Your account

To use HealthAYF, you must create an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for:

  • Keeping your password confidential and not sharing it with others
  • All activity that occurs under your account
  • Notifying us immediately at support@healthayf.com if you suspect unauthorised access

One account may be used to manage health records for multiple family members. You must not create multiple accounts for the same person or use another person's account without their consent.

5. Acceptable use

You agree to use HealthAYF only for its intended purpose of personal health records management. You must not:

  • Upload false, misleading, or fraudulent health information
  • Use the platform for commercial purposes, such as managing patient records for a medical practice
  • Attempt to access another user's data without their explicit permission
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract data from the platform
  • Use the service in any way that violates Indian law or these Terms

6. Your data & content

You own your data. All health records, documents, and information you add to HealthAYF belong to you. We do not claim any ownership over your health data.

By using HealthAYF, you grant us a limited licence to store, process, and display your data solely for the purpose of providing the service to you. This licence ends when you delete your data or close your account.

You are responsible for ensuring that any data you upload (prescriptions, reports, etc.) is yours to share and does not infringe the rights of others.

7. Profile sharing

HealthAYF allows you to share a family member's health profile with another person (e.g. a doctor, caregiver, or relative). When you share a profile:

  • You are responsible for ensuring the recipient is an appropriate and trusted person
  • You can grant view-only or edit access, and revoke access at any time
  • HealthAYF is not liable for how a person you choose to share data with uses that information

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law:

  • HealthAYF is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied
  • We are not liable for any medical decisions made based on information stored in or displayed by HealthAYF
  • We are not liable for data loss caused by factors outside our control (natural disasters, third-party outages, etc.)
  • Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed ₹1,000 (one thousand Indian rupees)

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by negligence, as these cannot be excluded under Indian law.

9. Termination

By you: You may delete your account at any time from within the app. All your data will be permanently deleted within 30 days.

By us: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with notice where possible. In cases of serious breach (fraud, illegal activity), termination may be immediate.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of HealthAYF shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of NCR, India. We encourage resolving disputes amicably first — please contact us at support@healthayf.com before initiating legal proceedings.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of HealthAYF after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
